Farsi (Persian) meaning Heavenly Commander,
an honorific title given to him after the assassination.  

Qassem Soleimani (11 March 1957 - 03 January 2020) was
an Iranian general who for 22 years was commander of the
elite Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

A modest and unassuming man from a humble provincial background,
he quickly advanced in the military to become Iran's most respected
general, as well as a national hero, due to his decisive results.
 
An exceptionally gifted field commander, he personally directed a
number of the crucial battles in Syria and Iraq, greatly contributing
to the defeat of terror groups such as IS-ISIL-Daesh, who were/are
indisputably created-funded-armed-trained by the collective Christian
West and Israel, in order to bring about regime change in the few
remaining independent countries, Iran being the most important.

Soleimani was also instrumental in Hezbollah beating the "invincible"
Israeli army in the 33 day war in July-August 2006, being personally
present in Hezbollah's operational centres in southern Lebanon.
That must have been particularly rewarding for him.

He was encouraged to run for the presidency, and would probably
have won, being the most popular person in the country, but he
declined, saying that he was a simple soldier who could serve
Iran and the Islamic revolution better that way.

On learning of his assassination by America, on the direct order of
President Trump, I felt both a personal sense of loss, and at the
same time indescribable anger - The Great Satan, indeed!

My dear Brother, from your elevated position as Sardar Asmani,
may you have an even better overview of future battlefields -
NO SURRENDER!

You insisted your time would be much better spent
As a simple soldier who would strive to implement
The Islamic Revolution wherever you were sent
